Flouride free Kansas for safety and saving money.

It is illegal to medicate anyone with out a doctors prescription. I never gave a doctor permission to put a drug in my water, that is a crime.

There is no oversight as to what is being added to our water. Flouride is a toxic waste by-product from the aluminum and fertilizer industries.

“Respected Medical Professionals and Scientists are warning of long-term health consequences.”

“I would advise against fluoridation. Side-effects cannot be excluded. In Sweden, the emphasis nowadays is to keep the environment as clean as possible with regard to pharmacologically active and, thus, potentially toxic substances.”  – Dr. Arvid Carlsson, co-winner of the Nobel Prize for Medicine (2000)

Our fluoride is being bought from China, with no oversight or regulation. China profits from our money purchasing their toxic waste.

The flouride is then administered into our public tap water.

We are paying for this Kansas, at what cost? We are loosing our health and hard earned money. No more mandatory flouridation not on my watch!

Kansas Health Foundation authorized more than $22.9 million in grants in 2012, says annual report. http://www.kansas.com/2013/04/30/2784119/kansas-health-foundation-authorized.html

About: Let’s ban the cultivation of genetically modified organisms — Plant, animal or fungi in Douglas County, Kansas.

Description: Except for research purposes in controlled studies and in a secured environment, Douglas County should not allow the cultivation of genetically modified organisms. We consider genetically modified organism an environmental pollutant, with unknown effects and wish to mitigate our risk of contamination from neighboring crops, livestock or fungi. Let’s follow legislative examples from other counties who have done this already. We can do it here too!

Move to Amend Lawrence, KS Date Established: November 2012

“We are a group of ordinary people concerned about the various issues that have arisen due to the absurdity of the notion that a legal fiction with limited liability and unlimited resources is a “person” before the eyes of the Supreme Court of the United States.”

As Chief Justice Stephens wrote in his dissent of the January 2010 Citizens United decision:

“. . . corporations have no consciences, no beliefs, no feelings, no thoughts, no desires. Corporations help structure and facilitate the activities of human beings, to be sure, and their ‘personhood’ often serves as a useful legal fiction. But they are not themselves members of “We the People” by whom and for whom our Constitution was established.”

“Therefore, we the citizens of Lawrence Kansas MOVE TO AMEND the Constitution of the United States of America, stating that CORPORATIONS ARE NOT PEOPLE, and MONEY IS NOT SPEECH.”

As candidate running for Kansas governor, I will never accept corporate funding, or sponsorship.

Meeting Laurie and Sara was wonderful, thanks for all that you are doing for Kansas!

Kansas farmer sues Monsanto over GMO wheat discovery

http://www.ksn.com/2013/06/04/kansas-farmer-sues-monsanto-over-gmo-wheat-discovery/

WICHITA, Kansas (AP) – “A Kansas farmer has sued seed giant Monsanto over last week’s discovery of genetically engineered experimental wheat in Oregon.

The civil lawsuit filed Monday by Elkhart wheat grower Ernest Barnes alleges the finding of the unapproved wheat in an 80-acre

field drove down wheat futures prices and caused a backlash from some international markets, which suspended certain imports. The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages.

Warren Burns, one of the attorneys representing the farmer, said in a phone call from Dallas that such lawsuits help police the agricultural system and make sure farmers are protected.

Monsanto Executive Vice President David Snively issued a statement saying “tractor chasing lawyers” have prematurely filed lawsuits without any evidence of fault and before the crop’s harvest.”
